One of the bright spots for Sri Lanka has been the form of Thilina Kandamby, who was recalled after a four-year gap. He has propped up their fragile middle order, and nearly engineered a victory in Saturday's match with an un-flustered 93.

तैजुल इस्लाम ने पहले ही वनडे में बनाई हैट्रिक

किसी भी गेंदबाज की इससे बेहतर करियर की शुरुआत नहीं हो सकती कि वह अपने पहले ही वनडे में हैट्रिक लगाने का कारनामा कर दिखाए। बांग्लादेश के फिरकी गेंदबाज तैजुल इस्लाम ने ढाका के शेरे-बंगाल स्टेडियम में लाजवाब खेल दिखाते हुए जिंबाब्वे के खिलाफ 4 विकेट महज 8 गेंदों के अंदर झटक लिए, ‌जिससे मेहमान टीम बड़ा स्कोर खड़ा नही कर सकी। उन्होंने 7 ओवर में 2 मेडन के साथ 4 विकेट झटके और सिर्फ 11 रन दिए। वनडे इतिहास में तैजुल पहले गेंदबाज बन गए हैं जिन्होंने अपने पहले ही मैच में हैट्रिक बनाने का कारनामा कर दिखाया। तैजुल की हैट्रिक के कारण जिंबाब्वे की पूरी टीम 30 ओवर में महज 128 रन बनाकर आउट हो गई। जवाब में मेजबान बांग्लादेश ने 24.3 ओवर में 5 विकेट पर 130 रन बनाकर लक्ष्‍य हा‌सिल कर‌ लिया। सीरीज के पांचवें मैच में 5 ‌विकेट से जीत हा‌सिल करने के साथ ही मेजबान बांग्लादेश ने वनडे इतिहास में पहली बार 5 मैचों की वनडे सीरीज में क्लीन स्वीप कर ‌लिया है।
